Many Arrangr users have teammates whom they want to be able to access their account and schedule on their behalf. To allow this, we have introduced a feature that we call "Assistant Access". It allows one Arrangr user to grant another Arrangr user access to their account. When you have Assistant Access to another user's account, you can log into your own Arrangr account using your own login credentials, and then "turn on" the other user's account, so that you are then navigating and operating as that other user.

Requirements

In order to activate Assistant Access, one of the two users (either the one granting access, or the one being granted access) needs to be subscribed to Arrangr's Pro Plus plan. If only one of the two parties is a Pro Plus subscriber, then the one with the Pro Plus subscription needs to be the one to initiate the granting of access between the accounts (more info on this in the next section below).

How to Grant or Receive Assistant Access

Before Assistant Access can be set up, you need to make sure that both users have registered Arrangr accounts. The Assistant Access setting can be set up in the "Settings" section of your Arrangr Profile & Settings page. Once in the Settings section, scroll down to the "Assistant Access" section.

If you want to have access to another user's account, click the "Request Access" button, then enter the email address corresponding to the other user's Arrangr account. They will then receive an email requesting that they grant access to your account. Once they accept this request, you will have the ability to activate Assistant Mode to access their account. The video below demonstrates how to request access from another user:

This next video shows how the other user can accept your request for Assistant Access. In addition to finding your request on their Profile & Settings page (like in the video below), then can also follow the link from the email that was sent when you requested access.

If you want to give access to another user, then instead of the "Request Access" button, you need to click the "Grant Access" button, then enter the email address corresponding to the other user's Arrangr account, as demonstrated in the video below. Once you submit, that user will be able to access your account via Assistant Mode.

If you are not a Pro Plus subscriber, but the other user is, then you need to have them initiate the Assistant Access granting. So, if you are trying to gain access to their account, you'll need them to follow the steps above by clicking the "Grant Access" button. Or, if you are trying to give them access to your account, then they will need to click the "Request Access" button, as described above.

How to Activate and Use Assistant Mode

Once you have been granted Assistant Access to another user's account, you can activate Assistant Mode from your Switchboard. Just click the "Assistant Mode" button toward the top of your Switchboard. You'll then see a dropdown listing all the accounts that have granted you assistant access. Click the one you want to turn on, and the page will reload signed in as that user. Check out the video below to see this in action:

Once Assistant Mode is activated, everything you see and do on Arrangr will be from the perspective of that user. Be careful, and make sure you don't forget that you are in Assistant Mode! To help remind you, we have a couple indicators, like the little "A" circle you will see over your user icon.

How to Exit Assistant Mode

There are a few ways to exit Assistant Mode. If you click the dropdown you used to activate Assistant Mode, now you'll see an option at the bottom to "Exit Assistant Mode". If you click it, the page will reload and you'll now be signed in as yourself again, as shown in the video below:

Another option is to click on your user icon at the top of the screen. In the menu that emerges, while in Assistant Mode, beneath the email of the user you are acting on behalf of it will say "via " plus your own email address. If you click on your own email address, it will exit Assistant Mode and reload the page as yourself. Whereas the previous method of exiting shown above can only be done from the Switchboard, this method can be used from any Arrangr page where you see your user icon at the top. The video below shows this way of exiting Assistant Mode in action:

The third option is to simply sign out, and then sign back in as yourself.

Assistant Access FAQs

Q: Can I have assistant access to multiple accounts?

A: Yes, you can have access to as many accounts as you like, as long as they all grant you access. When activating assistant mode, you'll see a list of all the accounts you have access to, and will be able to select which one you want to activate

Q: Do I need a premium plan to use Assistant Mode?

A: At least one party (either the one granting access to their account, or the one accessing another account) needs to be subscribed to our Pro Plus plan.

Q: Can I give limited access to my account?

A: No, so make sure you trust whoever you're giving access to! They will be able to not only perform scheduling on your behalf, but make changes to your profile and settings, etc.
